He is the literary executor and official biographer of Donald Barthelme, one of the great postmodern writers of the 20th century. He is the editor of Barthelme’s Flying to America: 45 More Stories, The Teachings of Don B., and Not-Knowing: The Essays and Interviews, and author of D.H. Lawrence in His Time.
