Martone
is the author of eight works of fiction, including Double-wide: Collected Fiction of Michael Martone, The Blue Guide to Indiana, and Michael Martone, a book comprised of forty-two “contributors notes”; two collections of nonfiction, The Flatness and Other Landscapes and Unconventions: Attempting the Art of Craft and the Craft of Art; and six edited volumes. Martone was awarded the 1998 AWP Award for Creative Nonfiction for The Flatness and Other Landscapes.
