Singleton
is a recent winner of a Guggenheim fellowship-one of the most prestigious awards in the United States- and has published two novels, four collections of stories, and most recently, Pep Talks, Warnings & Screeds: Indispensable Wisdom and Cautionary Advice for Writers. His short stories have appeared in over a hundred magazines and journals and in such anthologies as New Stories From the South and Writer's Harvest Two. He teaches at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities and lives in Pickens County, South Carolina, with ceramicist Glenda Guion and their eleven dogs and one cat.
